A Message From The Board
Dear Sitka Food Co-op Member,
On behalf of your Board of Directors, I’d like to extend a big THANK YOU to all of the members of the Sitka Food Co-op for your constant patronage and sunny dispositions when it’s grey and rainy outside. As I’m sure you are aware, our Co-op is growing and for 2018 we’re currently on track to end up 20-25% larger than last year!
With more and more households joining us every month, we are quickly outgrowing the space we rent at Centennial Hall (and scheduling conflicts are becoming a very real possibility). Fortunately, there are a few locations that might just serve as a possible landing spot when we ultimately make the jump to a new location. However, to successfully make the leap we need to be prepared, and this includes raising enough capital to make the transition a viable one. This is where we need your help.
If you would like to help steer our Co-op into a sustainable future, please email SitkaFoodCoop@gmail.com and/or attend our second Capital Campaign Committee meeting on Wednesday, June 6th at 6:30 PM in the Meeting Room of the library. (Future meetings dates and times will be set by consensus.)
All members are welcomed to join our efforts and I do hope you’ll decide to help us with our mission to “Bring Good Food & Community Together.”
Cooperatively Yours,
Geof Goudeau – Board Chair
